Certain characters can change the momentum of the game if used effectively and Johnson is one of them!

掌握 happens to play Johnson and it’s an understatement to say that he plays him effectively!

He is easily in the top 3 greatest drivers that I’ve ever seen use the character!

Let’s start by examining some of his overall stats.

掌握 is a Solo Q Legend player who appears to have experience playing tank, fighter, assassin, support and mage roles.

However, I only know him for his Johnson gameplay, so we’re going to limit our analysis to that!

He easily has the skill to be a Mythical Glory level player, but I know how difficult it can be attempting to Solo Q through the ranks as a tank player.

Let’s start by diving into his strengths…

掌握 is the epitome of a Johnson player, because his driving ability is phenomenal. He has strong map awareness and and is always ready to initiate the team fight by hitting the correct oppenent.

Additionally, you will find him securing more kills than some mages and assassins during the course of the game.

It’s mind boggling to me to see how well he’s able to carry the game as a tank!

It’s safe to say, the moment that he gets his ultimate, your team has already lost 🤣

Let’s also dive into his weaknesses…

Like all tanks, his biggest flaw is that he’s unable to single handedly carry a team!

Even though I praised his killing ability, that’s not the norm.  He still falls into the same constraints that anyone in the tank role experiences.

It’s not his fault, but the mechanics of how the tank role was created limits his ability to be a slaying machine.

In addition to that things such as lane clearing or farming are not his strong suits due to his other responsibilities.

Even though his map awareness alerts him to things like that he’s unable to actually perform those duties because he has to always be present for team fights.

As a result, that leaves him at the mercy of the random players who happen to be on his team!

Farm: 70%

Overall Rating: 85%

In conclusion, 掌握 is a player that I would choose to tank for me 100% of the time and the above stats aren’t a completely reflective of his overall skill.

Being that his tank role is restrictive in certain aspects, the numbers don’t accurately reflect his overall contribution to the team!

However, I promise that you want him on your team and you want him playing Johnson!
